Patrick Dahm

Patrick is an international arbitrator and commercial lawyer (Dr iur) with a practice spanning Asia and Europe, based in Singapore. He is available for appointments as sole arbitrator, presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator and emergency arbitrator in institutional arbitrations (including expedited proceedings) and ad hoc arbitrations.

One of the few foreign lawyers in Singapore authorised to practise both Singapore law (in permitted areas) and German law, he combines common law and civil law expertise in advising clients and resolving complex international disputes.

He specialises in corporate and commercial, shipping, maritime and transport, technology and telecommunications disputes. He has also served as an arbitrator in disputes concerning Sharia-compliant ijarah financing (Islamic finance).

 

He is well versed in procedural and substantive law (including the CISG), and he has extensive experience under a wide range of arbitration rules, including the AIAC, CEAC/ASEAC, SCMA, SIAC, Swiss, DIS and UNCITRAL Rules.
