Sir Robin Jacob Speaks At The London Branch Of CIARB Seminar On IP Disputes

The London Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators held a well-attended and lively seminar on Intellectual Property Disputes on 2nd February at the offices of Wedlake Bell.

ArbDB Chambers member Sir Robin Jacob was one of the speakers.  He spoke on the potential for the use of arbitration instead of multinational IP litigation and whether that potential can be realised; whether arbitrators can issue effective injunctive relief; the value of arbitration in trade secret disputes, the control of expert witnesses in IP arbitration and the desirability of tailor made arbitration rules. Particularly for patent cases.
