ArbDB Member Michael Cover Mediate And Judge In The UK Mediation Skills Competition

ArbDB Member Michael Cover acted as Mediator and Judge in the Second UK Mediation Skills Competition organized by the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators over the weekend of 14/15 January 2012.  As an experienced mediator Michael were able to bring their skills to bear in the opening round and semi-finals, which saw teams from 14 top UK Universities and Law Schools pit their problem-solving skills against each other in mock mediations. 

 

These mediations were guided by top professional mediators.  The winners and runners-up, London Metropolitan University and the University of Northumbria, were both able to progress to the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition in Paris between 3 and 8 February 2012.

Michael commented: “ Murray and I were delighted to be able to contribute to the success of this second UK Mediation Skills Competition and look forward to acting as a Mediator and Judge again in Paris at the ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition.”
