John Wright was the chair at a meeting of the Society of Construction Law held on Tuesday, 5 October 2021.

The topic of the meeting was “Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration” and featured excellent presentations from Adam Constable QC, Lucy Garrett QC, Sam Townend QC and Jennie Wild, all of Keating Chambers.

The presentations and subsequent discussion focused on conflicts of interest in expert witnesses, with particular reference to the recent Court of Appeal decision in Secretariat Consulting PTE Ltd-v- A Company [2021] EWCA Civ 6.

The meeting was attended by some 40 in person, with over 80 attending online.
